William Clair Moore

William Clair Moore, 64, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 2021, formerly of Miami, FL, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024 in Cape Coral, FL. He was born May 5, 1959 in Miami, FL to Allan Moore, now deceased, and Joyce Moore.

William, known by all as Bill or Billy, was of the Episcopalian faith. He was free-spirited, charismatic, and well loved by those who knew him. Billy was a masterful storyteller and conversationalist, with a curious and open mind. An evening spent in the flow with Billy was never dull.

He was a roofer all his life and a true master tradesman, the likes of which has begun to fade in recent times. He took great pride in every detail of his work and a job well done. Billy was very creative and, as is often the case with creative people, he could be a bit eccentric. One of his habits was collecting old machinery, equipment, signs, and odds and ends. He enjoyed restoring such items to their former glory and, in many cases, just appreciating them and their patina of age.

A creature of habit, not a day was spent without his cup of coffee and daily crossword - in pen no less.

A loving husband, father, brother and friend, Billy was always there when you needed him. To say he will be missed is an understatement, but we are grateful for all the love and memories he left with us.

He is survived by his loving wife, Connie Moore; his two children, Stephanie Moore (Adrian Molina), and Jonathan Moore; two sisters, Shawn Shields (Christian), and Sue Fernandez (Mario); two brothers, Todd Moore, and Tommy Moore; four grandchildren, Madalyn Moore, Sabrina Moore, Megan Moore, and Liam Molina; and loyal companion Peanut.
