William Stephens Schumpert

William Stephens Schumpert, 63, a resident of Cape Coral since 2005, formerly of Ventura, CA, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023 in Cape Coral.  He was born September 25, 1960 in Houma, LA to William and Frances Schumpert, now deceased. 

William (Steve, Shump, Scuba Steve, Billy Boy, Stove) Schumpert 

My love, my life and best friend. When you were born all the stars were aligned and helped create the most kind and caring and beautiful human being on this planet.  My life was forever changed on that night we met and will forever be the better for it. I knew the moment we met that it was you I was always looking for, my soulmate, my split apart. 

I know you are in the most beautiful, peaceful place and that gives me comfort. All of the wonderful memories we have will sustain me here on earth till we meet again. 

You were loved by my children and grandchildren as if you were their own. Those who knew you, loved you and were proud to call you friend.

Your accomplishments are known by all who worked with you and will continue to hold your memory in their hearts. Your greatest accomplishment was just being the kind, funny and caring person that you were, and that will always be remembered. 

I wish we had more time together my love, but the time we had was the best of my life.

Rest in loving peace my Billy Boy. Your Hun Bun. Fair winds and following seas.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Dutton of Cape Coral; three stepchildren, Kayla, Bobby and Benjamin Chapman; one sister, Linda Woods of Ashland, OR; nephew, Austin Whitman of Boise, ID as well as three step grandchildren, Paytin, Alaina and Odin Chapman. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
