Bona Jean Wirth

November 1, 1962 — January 30, 2025

Bona Jean Wirth, 62, a winter resident of North Fort Myers, FL and a nearly lifelong resident of Eagle, MI, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025 in North Fort Myers.  She was born November 1, 1962 in Lansing, MI to Glenn Dale and Phyllis Bennett, both deceased. 

Bona ran her own business performing Manicures and Pedicures for her clients, a job she loved but was forced to quit because of her declining health.

She cherished spending time with her children and husband at their cottage in Baryton, MI.  Bona truly enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends, making all kinds of different Christmas cookies, something her recipients are surely going to miss. 

Bona also loved working in her flower beds growing beautiful flowers and plants. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Rick Wirth of MI and FL; two children, Derek Wirth (partner, Marissa Manning) of Portland, MI and Jessica Wright (Kelly) of Grand Ledge, MI; two sisters, Caroline Gruber of IN and Marilou Schrader (David) of St. Johns, MI; one brother, Benny Bennett (Diane) of Perrington, MI as well as several nieces and nephews. 

A Celebration of Life will be held in Tamiami Village, Flamingo Hall, at 4:00 PM on Thursday, February 6, 2025.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Michigan at a later date.

Memorial contributions in memory of Bona Wirth are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation.  Kidney.org
