Carla Joyce Driggers, 74, a resident of North Fort Myers, FL since 1970, formerly of Naples, FL, peacefully passed away to be united with our Heavenly Father on Friday, December 22, 2023 in Cape Coral, FL. She was born July 4, 1949 in Rittman, OH to Carl and Mary Armbrust, now deceased; loving sister to Richard Armbrust, now deceased. She retired from the Lee County Health Department as a Medical Records Clerk after 20+ years; where she built special bonds and friendships, which became an extended family.
Carla was of the Christian faith and believed that with God all things are possible. She met her husband of 53 years on a blind date in 1968. Through that night she became a wife, mother, grandmother, friend/neighborhood mom to many and a dog mom to their chihuahuas Marlo, Lily, Shilo, Cody, Titan, Heinz and Rico. She loved her family game time of cards, board games and putting puzzles together, that always involved loud laughter and great conversations. We learned through her the gift of gab and ability to carry on multiple conversations in a room at once (inside joke). Her alone time was spent cuddling up with a good book and her doggies. Our mother had such a kind and genuine soul, would always put her family’s needs before her own and made you feel welcome in her presence. If you were to ask her about her greatest accomplishments, she would tell you it is the strong family foundation that she and her husband lovingly created together.
She and her love will be honored and lived on through her loving husband, Ronnall Dale Driggers Sr.; children, Ronnall Dale Driggers Jr. (Justine) of Bethlehem, GA, Diona Lynn Huffman of North Fort Myers, Richard James Driggers of North Fort Myers, along with her bonus sons James Maynard of North Fort Myers and Randy Huffman of North Fort Myers; as well as grandchildren, Austin Force, Chelsea Thomas, Taylor Driggers, Dustin and Kyera Huffman, Daniel Driggers and Donald Cail; and also brother-in-law Jim Driggers (Greta) of Key Largo, FL and many cousins in Naples, FL.
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26
Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30
