Dorothy Frances Smith

Dorothy Frances Smith, 77, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 2012, formerly of Waretown, New Jersey. Dot  passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024, at home. She was born January 9, 1947 in Fort Dix, New Jersey to Francis and Bertha Leary, now deceased. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Michele O’Grady. 

Dorothy was of the Christian faith. She grew up in Levittown, Pa, where she graduated from Delhaas High School in 1964. She was a long time employee of Home Depot, where she spent most of her employment as a kitchen designer. She was a great lover of animals, especially dogs. She was always ready to give a pup a loving home. She was, also, a dedicated supporter of our Military and Veterans. 

She is survived by her loving sister, Debbi Jankowski of Cape Coral; her nieces Stephanie Roskow , Skylie Roskow and Jules Regan: nephews, Jeff Roskow and DJ Jankowski: grandchildren, Shannon Willard and Shawn Henshaw; as well as great grandchildren, Douglas and Eileen Willard; as well as a son, Michael Henshaw.

Dorothy was preceded in death by a daughter, Michele O’Grady.
