Douglas Nicholas Shedorick

Douglas Nicholas Shedorick, 74, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 2004, formerly of East Meadow, NY, passed away January 1, 2023 in Cape Coral. He was born December 22, 1948 in Mineola, NY to Nicholas and Anne Shedorick, now deceased.

Douglas was of the catholic faith. He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed collecting coins, riding his motorcycle, working on cars, and taking care of his unique variety of many pets over the years. He also enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hiking and fishing and had a great love for nature.  He worked for the United States postal service as a postal carrier and accident investigator for many years and loved his job. He will always be remembered for being kind to everyone and always wanting to help anyone in need.

He is survived by his loving companion of 15+ years, Gail Riley; children, Michelle Flynn (Marc) of Wesley Chapel, FL, and Douglas Shedorick (Tracy) of East Meadow, NY; grandchildren, Makenzie, Melanie, Douglas, and Nicholas.
