Elfriede Betty Walker

Elfriede Betty Walker, 92, a Southwest Florida resident since 1990, formerly of Milford, CT, passed away Friday, April 18^th, 2025, in Cape Coral, FL.  She was born March 28^th, 1933, to Emma Struehler Schneider and Georg Schneider, now deceased.

Elfriede was a member of the German American Club, Cape Coral, for the last 25 years.  She was born in Schweinfurt Germany, met and married the love of her life in 1950. They emigrated to the United States in 1953 and established homes in Maryland and later in Connecticut where they raised their family. She and her beloved Paul were happily married for 55 years. Elfriede was proud of her German heritage and was an active member of the German American Social Club of Cape Coral for 25 years. She loved to dance with her husband Paul and enjoyed the many friendships they had made together over the years. Her home was a gathering place for friends and family. The kitchen was always the heart of her home, where she was proud to share her exceptional cooking and baking skills. She was happiest surrounded by the people she loved and will be cherished in their memories. 

She is survived by her daughter, Vera Scott of Fort. Myers, FL; one grandson, Peter Nowikow and wife Katie of Chesterfield, MO; as well as two great grandchildren, Caleb and Jacob.  Extended family in Germany include Gisela Richter and family of Schweinfurt and Rosamie Lohmann and family of Hagen

In addition to her parents, Elfriede was preceded in death by her beloved husband Paul Walker in 2005 as well as a grandson, Marc Scott.

No formal services are planned at this time.
