Fritz "Cazu" Casimir

Fritz Casimir, affectionately known as “Cazu,” 76, a resident of Cape Coral, formerly of the Turks & Caicos Island, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025 in Cape Coral.  Born in Porte au Prince, Haiti, on November 30, 1948 to the late Dacilien Saintilus and Madelene.

Fritz lived a life marked by quite strength, enduring faith and deep, unwavering love for his family.  He was a man of few words but countless acts of kindness.  Though her rarely said, “I love you” everyone who knew him could feel the depth of his devotion through the things he did – aways ready to lend a hand, to listen, to support. 

Fritz was a faithful member of Fraternity Baptist Church of Cape Coral.  He found joy and peace in gospel music, often spending his days sitting in his chair, listening to his favorite songs.  The melodies that filled his home now echo in the hearts of his loved ones, and he will be remembered every time those familiar hymns play. 

He is survived by his wife, Mary Casimir, with whom he shared a life of love and devotion.  He is also survived by his children: Wood, Mykelie, Beatrice, Gershwin, and Frantz; his daughters-in-law, Sophie and Yvrose; sister-in-law, Marie Ange; his cherished grandchildren: Kayla, Kristal, Elijah, Haileigh, Ryleigh, Lubin, Alvin, Ashmy, Saide, Kay’Leah, and Maylean. He also leaves behind his dear sisters, Monique and Mimose, along with extended family and friends who will miss his presence deeply. 

A quiet soul with a gift for storytelling, Fritz held a special ability to draw people in – not with volume, but with presence.  His stories, his laughter, and his faithful, steady way of being will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, May 23, 2025 at Fraternity Baptist Church, 514 NE 16th Pl, Cape Coral, FL 33909 with Pastor Ildet Jean-Louis officiating.  The Family will receive friends for a time of visitation at 10:00 am prior to service time.
