Janet Lee Cintron

Janet Lee Cintron, 69, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past 24 years, formerly of Downers Grove, IL, passed away Monday, May 6, 2024 in Cape Coral, FL. She was born April 27, 1955 in St. Joseph, MI to Clement Bernard and Patrina Marie Dombro, now deceased.

Janet was of the Catholic faith and very spiritual. Artistic and creative, Jan studied in the Cosmetology field, owning Charlie Girl, Inc., and maintained a salon into retirement. Many of her customers became friends and were with her to the end.

A bon vivant, Jan loved all that’s fun in life. She cherished the many animals that were very much a part of her. She took in strays, rescued wildlife, and invited in any four-legged creature that looked needy. Among her many interest were automobiles, music, and travel, near or far. But, truly, she preferred to be home with her animal(s).

Jan had an unusually large number of loving and loyal friends, all of whom made their way to her bedside on a regular basis as she struggled with her condition. She passed in the arms of her dear friend, Chris, who brought her love Hennessy to visit the day prior. Her struggle was brief. We lost her too early. She’s left a hole in all our hearts.

She is survived by her sisters, Marie Price (Jim) of Long Beach, IN, and Karol Delfini (Michael) of Western Springs, IL; brother, Bob Dombro of LaGrange, IL; uncle, Jim Dombro of Coloma, MI; aunt, Jean Hickey of Chicago, IL; nieces, Allison, and Francesca; nephews, Braydon, Marcello, and Paolo; great nephews, Luca, and Quinn; as well as her beloved dog, Hennessy, who now resides with Chris.

A service will be held on May 17, 2024, 11:00am, at Saint Katherine Drexel Catholic Church, 1922 SW 20th Avenue, Cape Coral, FL. A Celebration of Life and burial will be held in Illinois at a later date. Details to be announced via www.MullinsMemorial.com.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at St. Cletus Church, 600 W 55th St, LaGrange, IL.
