Joseph Louis Gilbert

Joseph Louis Gilbert, 71, a resident of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of North St. Paul, MN, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 in Cape Coral. He was born June 23, 1951 in St. Paul, MN to Albert and Carol Gilbert, now deceased.

Joseph was of the Christian faith and was a Veteran of the United States Marines. He was a kind and loving husband, amazing father, adored grandfather, and great grandfather. Joe was a proud business owner, loved and respected thru-out his industry.

He is survived by his beloved wife, together for more than 33 years, Tammy Gilbert of Cape Coral; three loving children, Katie Copic (and her significant other, Carl Ross) of Lakeland, MN, David Gilbert (Nikki) of Oakdale, MN, and Danielle Gilbert, (and her significant other, Justin Lloyd) of Benson, NC; three siblings, Jane Kelly (Ron) of Libby, MT, Albert Gilbert of Osceola, WI, and Cindy Barfield of Henderson, NV; brother in law, Alan Bassett of Cocoa Beach, FL; several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Bryanna Hernandez-Staples (Adam) of  St. Paul, MN; five grandchildren, April, Mason, Aiden, Vayda, and Vivian; four great grandchildren, Lacey, Raina, Nadia, and Josie, and his faithful dog Boomer.

Joseph was preceded in death by two sisters, Carol Bassett and Jean Davis.

Memorial Services will be held at Bradshaw Funeral Home, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, in Stillwater, MN, February 11^th, 2023 with visitation starting at 1pm. Service at 2pm. Military honors at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 2pm, February 13^th, 2023.
