Joseph Martin Troyan

Joseph Martin Troyan, 43, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past eighteen years, formerly of Madison, OH,  passed away Friday, January 26, 2024 in Cape Coral, FL. He was born April 8, 1980 in Mayfield Heights, OH  to Dale Troyan and Jenny (Maffit)Cira. 

Joseph was of the Catholic faith. He graduated from The Academy for Corrections in West Virginia, then leading to advancing ranks, to most recently Lieutenant at Charlotte Correctional Facility, serving for a total of sixteen years.  Joseph was an avid outdoorsman, dedicated hunter, firearm enthusiast and fisherman.  You could often find him tinkering in his garage.  Joseph became an adventurer with a future dream trip to Alaska  happening this spring. This love for travel grew during trips with his family; some of his favorites were Las Vegas, The Grand Canyon and Cozumel.  Joe was a man of few words, “one word Joe” as some called him.  He was strong and steady with unwavering love for his family and animals. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Stefanie Troyan; parents, Dale Troyan of Madison, OH, and Jenny Cira  (Tony) of Cape Coral, FL; his children, Brandon Troyan, Savannah Troyan, and Lilly Troyan; sister, Crystal  Cira of Cape Coral, FL; brothers, Steven Troyan (Lauren) of Lehigh Acres, FL, and Anthony Cira, Jr. (Ashlie) of Miami, FL; maternal grandparents, Carl Maffit and Theresa Maffit of Painesville, OH; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and dear friends.  

Funeral Services to be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33916. The family will be receiving friends for a time of visitation from 4:00 PM until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, Monetary Memorial Contributions in memory of Joseph Martin Troyan on behalf of Brandon, Lilly and Savannah are suggested to The Troyan Family c/o Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33916.
