Katryn "Katy" Ann Sanderson

Katryn "Katy" Ann Sanderson, 51, a resident of Cape Coral, formerly of Fort Myers and Parker, CO, passed away Friday, April 4, 2025 in Cape Coral. She was born December 27, 1973 in Altoona, PA to Sandra and David McKelvey, Sr., now deceased as is her mother-in-law, Toni Medina.  Katy attended Grace Church of Cape Coral. 

Katy graduated from Cypress Lake High School in Fort Myers where she was a cheerleader and a member of the color guard.  Katy graduated from International Fine Arts College in Miami, but soon found her calling as a gifted dental assistant where she lovingly cared for patients for 30 years. Katy loved others deeply and she will forever be remembered for her fun and caring spirit and the light she brought to this world.   

Katy is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, George Sanderson, of Cape Coral; two children, Aleeya Sanderson of Fort Myers and Olivia Sanderson of Cape Coral; three siblings, Amy Buck (Richard) of Monroe, WA, David McKelvey, Jr. (Linda) of Bonita Springs and Heather Evans (Rod) of Cape Coral; eight nieces and nephews, Nick, Alexandra, Nicole, Patrick, Josh, Mackenzie, Roddy and Chloe Jane; two sisters-in-laws, Lisa Gordon and Sheila Weeks as well as the loving pets, Honey the dog, Santos the cat and Theo the bird.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 1:00PM at Grace Church, 13 SE 21" Street, Cape Coral, FL 33990, with Pastor Jorge Acevedo officiating.
