It is with profound sadness that we announce that Kristen Elizabeth Brown, 28, a resident of Cape Coral, formerly of East Aurora, NY, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. She was born on January 24, 1997, in Buffalo, NY.
Kristen was a believer in and follower of Jesus Christ, regularly attending Cape Christian Fellowship in Cape Coral. Her favorite Scripture verse was Philippians 4:13, “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.” Kristen clung to this verse as she struggled with multiple medical issues throughout her short adult life. She is now pain and worry free in the presence of her Savior. She had a love of animals since a child that continued through her life and led her to attend Palm Beach Atlantic University, where she studied Biology and Zoology. She had recently made the decision to go back to college and get her Bachelor of Nursing so she could work in an Emergency Department. She wanted to help patients that she could most relate to and be there to help calm their fears.
The evening before she passed away, Kristen told her mother that she was happy and felt like she was getting her life back.
She is survived by her loving parents, Earl Brown of Cape Coral and Kathryn Nixon (Philip) of North Fort Myers; one brother, Daniel Brown, (Danielle) of Lake Worth Beach, FL; half siblings, Joshua Brown (Megan) of Honolulu, HI and Jennifer Hadley (Geoffrey) of Littleton, MA; step siblings, Andrew Nixon of Cape Coral and Heather Nixon also of Cape Coral; nephews, Lincoln Hadley, Connor Brown, Caleb Ferrara and Ayden Ross as well as nieces, Addison Hadley and Lily Brown; aunts and uncles, Viola Solano, Carl Brown, Patricia Hazard (Allen), Thomas Corbett (Lois), Elizabeth Bochiechio (Joseph), David Corbett (Arlene), Amy Gummo (William); grandmother, Elizabeth Corbett. Her loving grandparents, Earl (Patricia) Brown, John Corbett, and Robert (Margaret) Nixon were there to welcome her to heaven.
A celebration of life will be held at First Christian Church, 2620 Country Club Blvd, Cape Coral, FL 33904 on Saturday, May 31 at 3:30 PM.
