Linda Josephine Tooze, 75, a resident of Cape Coral and formerly of Long Island, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2025, in Fort Myers, Florida. She was born on March 17, 1950, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Caldino and Josephine Colasuonno.
Linda was a woman of deep faith, fierce love, and quiet strength. Though she spent many years working with dedication at Dial America Marketing in New Port Richey, Florida, her true legacy lives on through the lives she touched as a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She had a natural ability to love unconditionally and to speak her mind with both honesty and humor. Her candid spirit was matched by an enormous heart that always placed the needs of others above her own. She had a sweet tooth for hard candy and cheesecake and a soft spot for sitcoms and wrestling—favorites included 2 1/2 Men, Mike & Molly, Law & Order: SVU, and especially WWE. Her laughter, warmth, and sass will echo in the memories of those who knew and loved her.
She is lovingly survived by her three children, Christina Culver (Christopher Anderson) of Tampa, FL; Joseph Tooze (Billie Tooze) of New Port Richey, FL; and John Tooze (Tara Tooze) of Dover, NH. She also leaves behind her dear sister, JoAnn Corapi (Robert Corapi) of Cape Coral; her two brothers, Dennis Colasuonno (Charlotte Patti) of Cape Coral and Robert Colasuonno (Miriam Colasuonno) of Long Island, NY; and her beloved grandchildren, Logan Culver, Madison Culver, and Emilyn Burr. Linda was a proud aunt to many nieces and nephews who will forever remember her love and laughter.
A funeral Mass to celebrate Linda’s life will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, 20 Harrison Ave, East Islip, NY, on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 9:15 AM. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and honor the life of a truly remarkable woman.
