Manuel Cabezas

August 6, 1936 — November 30, 2023

Manuel Cabezas, 87, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past five years, formerly of Miami, FL, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Thursday, November 30, 2023 in Cape Coral, FL. Manuel was born August 6, 1936 in Havanna, Cuba to Rosendo and Avelina Cabezas, now deceased. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Aida Cabezas.

Manuel was of the Catholic faith. He is one of 9 siblings born and raised on the family farm in Cuba. He is survived by his sister, Mercedes Cabezas Negrin of Cuba; and brother, Domingo Cabezas Negrin also of Cuba.  He was an uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Manuel migrated to the United States many years ago and settled in Miami where he and his wife lived most of their lives.  Manuel was a proud, honest, humble man dedicated to his family and respected in his community.  He enjoyed gardening and family visits where he would tell stories of his life in Cuba. He was generous, kindhearted, and loving. He had a contagious glowing smile and love for life that reminded many just how precious life is.

A special poem to my Tio Manuel, (Remember Me)

I will not remember you with tears.

I will remember you with laughter. We shared throughout the years.
