Mary Eugenia Lemieux

Mary Eugenia Lemieux, 88, a lifelong resident of the Fort Myers area, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 in North Fort Myers. She was born September 17, 1935 in Fort Myers, FL to Major and Frances Nault, now deceased.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Real Lemieux in 2019, son Raymond, sisters Elaine, Elizabeth, Christine, and brother Edward.

Mary was born in Fort Myers and spent time in Mena Arkansas in her youth and returned to Florida in her twenties where she met her husband Real and were married and had a family.

She is survived by her loving children, Andre Lemieux (Pam) of North Fort Myers, Steve Lemieux of North Fort Myers, Robert Lemieux of North Fort Myers, and David Lemieux of Titusville, FL., nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was Catholic and attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She lived her faith by taking care of others all her life from her husband Real and five children, parents, father and mother in- law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and whoever was in need she was there for them. That's all she did her entire life was take care of others in her home.

Her family will remember the spread she put on during the holidays and birthdays, It was always enough to feed an army and it usually did, as she always welcomed people that had no place to go for the holidays.

She was always faithful in prayer for her family especially for her sons and wanted them to be faithful to the Lord.

The family is certain that Mary is now whole in body and mind and resting in the arms of her LORD.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 10 am, at a First Baptist Church of Alva, 2790 Joel Blvd, Alva, FL 33920
