Michael Francis Maceranka, 64, of Cape Coral, passed away peacefully in his sleep Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Born February 18, 1961, in Manhattan, NY, to the late Andrew and Anna Maceranka.
Michael grew up in East Islip, NY where he attended East Islip High School. As an adult, he made his way to the East Coast of Florida before eventually settling in Cape Coral, FL, where he built a life full of love, hard work, and meaningful friendships.
A proud man of Catholic faith, Michael dedicated most of his life in the construction industry, specializing in tile and flooring. He was known not just for his craftsmanship, but for his generous spirit. Whether you needed your floors done or just needed someone to talk to , Mike, also known as “Mickey” to his childhood friends and “Mike the tile guy” to his clients, was the kind of man that you could always count on. He had a way of making people feel seen and supported, and he was the first to offer help without being asked.
Mike will be remembered most for his loyalty, humor, and heart. He was the type of person who always had your back, no matter what. His wisdom, work ethic, and quiet strength left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Kelly Maceranka of Cape Coral; his daughter, Renee Walsh of Naples, FL; his sister, Debbie Marszycki of Mahopac, New York; his brother, Johnny Maceranka, of Somers, NY; and his two cherished grandchildren, Virtue and Elkamy.
