Michael Gregory Paradis

d. June 10, 2024

Michael Gregory Paradis, 67, a resident of North Fort Myers, FL for the past 12 years, formerly of Swanton, VT, passed away Monday, June 10, 2024 in North Fort Myers, FL. He was born January 5, 1957 in St Albans, VT.

Michael was a professional auto body specialist that he began doing body work at a young age and soon learned it was his passion.  He continued to pursue this passion and eventually owned his own successful body shop called “Professional Auto Body” in St. Albans Vermont.

He had a great love for music, (especially classic rock and roll).  He also loved snowmobiling in the winter, riding his Harley and time on his pontoon boat in the summer.  Life was a big adventure for him, and he loved company and entertaining them.

Unfortunately, Mike was in two serious accidents in his younger years (1 motor cycle accident that left him with a crippled hand and one head on car accident that left him with serious back and neck injuries that would haunt him for the rest of his life), but it could not stop him from continuing to pursue his passion for autobody work.

Michael’s love for his family ran deep; even though at times his life choices got in his way of showing it. His family however, loved him very much and unconditionally.  He also adored his two little dogs, as well as his friends.  Michael will be very missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving children, Kristy Paradis (fiancé, Kirt Nichols) of Swanton, VT, and Gregory Paradis of St. Albans, VT; four siblings, Rita Langlais of Fairfax, VT, Larry Paradis (wife Marie) of St. Albans, VT, Debbie Begnoche (Leo) of St. Albans, VT and Glenn Paradis (wife Lori) of St. Albans, VT; brother-in law, Lester Alward of Fairfield, VT; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as three grandchildren, Brandon, Chelsea, and Myah.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, June and Homer Paradis; sister, Sandy Aylward; as well as brother in law, Ray Lussier

A private family gathering will be held at a later date in VT.
