Patricia Ann McAuley

Patricia (Pattie) Ann (Simon) McAuley, 74, passed suddenly on Saturday, May 25, 2024. She was a current resident of North Fort Myers.

She was born January 11, 1950, in Buffalo, NY to Henry and Blanche (Newton) Simon, now deceased. She moved to Cape Coral, Florida from Rochester, NY in 1998 to care for her parents and her sister who was developmentally disabled. She was also preceded in death by said sister, Laurel Simon. 

Pattie owned and operated Partners, a Bar/Nite Club in Greensboro, NC for many years before retiring and moving to Rochester, NY to be closer to her children; then Cape Coral, FL to care for her aging parents & disabled sister. She started to work/manage the Cape Crab House until it’s closing, then she transitioned and worked/managed at Anthonys on the Boulevard from its inception until its closing after the owners passing.

She was a longtime local Bartender/Server/Manager/Mentor/Babysitter/Showoff Grandma/Event planner who helped organize many events for charity, employees, the community & many an ungrateful offspring. Pattie had a zest for life and was always positive and helping others. She would always make sure everyone was happy, having fun, & being taken care of on her watch. She touched so many lives withing the industry.

She is survived by her everything: Three beautiful grandchildren; Anabelle Rose, Kevin Patrick and Alexandria Soleil who will always without a doubt the absolute meaning of her life & happiness; Along with her doting son Brion McAuley of North Fort Myers and to her eldest son and his wife; Eric & Rita (Munoz) McAuley of Cape Coral. She’s also survived by her older sister, Carol Donahue of OH well as several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at later date this Summer.
