Philip Nuno

March 7, 1954 — January 18, 2023

Philip Nuno, 68, a resident of North Fort Myers since 2008, formerly of Easton, PA, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 in Lehigh Acres.  He was born March 7, 1954 in Bethlehem, PA to Felipe and Amelia Nuno, now deceased.

Phil was of the Catholic faith. He grew up with a love for sports, this led to him being in a Baseball League in Bethlehem with a team named “Latin Kings”. He even took it a step farther as he got older and would become an umpire for many baseball and softball leagues in the Lehigh Valley as well as Lee County. He also worked for a conditioning company that would make football and other sports equipment. Phil was a diehard fan of the NFL. He always had a cigar in hand as he never missed a Steelers game which was his favorite team.

Among his passion for sports was another love; music. Phil would end up becoming a 15 year volunteer for a festival in his hometown of Bethlehem called Musikfest. When he wasn’t volunteering he would be at home singing karaoke to Frank Sinatra. He had a love for Mexican music as well as Salsa which he loved to dance to. Phil would even become a DJ on the side for house parties and playing at his own son's wedding. His collection of CD’s and Vinyls was so large it took 3-4 boxes to move it.

The most important thing to Phil was his family and friends. He always tried to help out with anything he could. Quality time and parties for family and friends was always a must for him. He also loved his home county the Lehigh Valley. He even used his love for politics to run for mayor of Easton, PA.  He would do anything to try and change life for the better for his loved ones. Whenever you came to Phil’s house he would always greet you with food or a homemade cocktail from his private bar. He always loved to give, never expecting anything in return.

He is missed deeply and loved so much by his family and friends.

He is survived by his four children, Bryan Nuno (Shonda Bibari) of North Fort Myers, Kaydren Nuno of Bayonne, NJ, Rebecca “Becky” Nuno of Bethlehem, PA and Brandon Nuno of Bethlehem, PA; one sister, Elsa Luther of Bethlehem, PA as well as five grandchildren, Darien, Jace, Jemi, Siana and Stella.

Phil was preceded in death by his brother, Ricardo “Rick” Nuno.
