Robert "Bob" Goldstone Sholette

March 28, 1947 — March 7, 2025

Robert “Bob” Goldstone Sholette, 77, a North Fort Myers, Florida resident since 2015, formerly of Fort Myers, FL and Black River, NY, passed away Friday, March 7th, 2025 in Fort Myers.  He was born March 28th, 1947 in Ogdensburg, NY, the son of Allen Goldstone and Naomi Sholette.

Bob graduated from Watertown High School in 1965.  He graduated from Jefferson Community College.  Bob earned two degrees, one in general education and one in business.  Bob was an accomplished salesman.  He began his career by selling yellow page advertising for the L.M.Berry company. Then he sold advertising for the Johnson Newspaper Corporation.  He sold local, regional, and national advertisements.  At times he was a manager, but preferred to work directly with his customers.  He retired in 2005 after 31 years. 

On July 5,1969 he married Linda Jean Barnes in Norwich, NY.  They lived most of their married lives in Black River, NY.  After retirement they moved to Fort Myers, Florida and in 2015 to the Sabal Springs Community in North Fort Myers, Florida.  He was a past member of the Black River Fire Department and Elk’s Club.  He was presently a member of the Moose Club.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Linda Sholette; his son, Robert Sholette, II of North Fort Myers, FL, his daughter, Kerri Crandall (Ron) of Rochester, NY; three grandchildren, Addysen Sholette, Tyler and Ryan Crandall; as well as his dogs Bailey and Tripp

Bob was a die hard LA Dodgers and Green Bay Packer fan! He enjoyed live music, and relaxing with family and friends in the comforts of his lanai by his pool.

It was Bob’s wishes not to have calling hours or a service.
