Robert Calvin Nipper, Jr.

Robert Calvin Nipper, Jr., 82, a resident of North Fort Myers and a lifelong resident of Lee County, FL (except for his military service) passed away Thursday, February 27, 2025, in Cape Coral, FL. He was born June 29, 1942, in Fort Myers, FL to Olive and Robert Nipper, Sr., now both deceased.

Robert was of the Methodist faith and was a Veteran of the United States Airforce. He was dedicated to serving at the American Legion Post 38 as well as at Amvets Post 81 for numerous years. He was a volunteer at the VA clinic in Cape Coral for many years.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Doris “Louise” Nipper of North Fort Myers; loving daughter, Trisia Rutter and son-in-law, Lee Rutter, of North Fort Myers; brother, Bobby Nipper, Jr. of Sugarland, TX; two sister-in-laws, Julie Nipper of North Fort Myers and Karen Hodges Walker ( Kim Walker); nephews and nieces, Nicole, Misty and Tony, Rick, Chuck, Helen-Marie, Greg and Danielle; grandchildren, Alexas Caputo, Dakoda, Ciara and Lane Rutter; great grandchildren, Stella, Eli, Kristina, Zhayden, Khalaya and expected great grandson Kanan; as well as his dog, Susie.

Robert was preceded in death by a brother, John N. Nipper.

Memorial Services with Military Honors will be held 11:30 AM Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.
