Thomas "Tommy" James Gorman

Thomas “Tommy” James Gorman, 40, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past 25 years, formerly of Long Island, NY, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022. He was born October 29, 1982 in East Meadow, NY.

Thomas was of the Catholic faith. He moved to SW Florida at the age of 15, shortly after he began his career in construction.  Tommy was exceptionally talented in his field.  Married at 25 which resulted in 2 beautiful daughters, Gianna and Avarie. Tommy had a truly contagious enthusiasm for life.  He was seldom without something in his hands, whether it was a grilling tool, a pool stick, or a fishing pole.  Given his incredible tenacity, love, loyalty, and humor, most times inappropriate, anyone who knew Tommy was privileged and blessed. Tommy is our hero.

He is survived by his loving mother, Chris “Princess” Carrasso of Cape Coral; loving father, Tom Gorman of Long Island; the mother of his children, Shana Gorman of Cape Coral; three loving children, Gianna Gorman, Avarie Gorman, and Greyson Gorman, all of Cape Coral; two loving sisters, Stacy Gorman of Shirley, NY, and Alyssa West of Cape Coral; two nephews, Nicolas and Leo; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, stepfather, stepbrother, and stepsisters.

Funeral Services will be held 7:00 PM Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33916 with Pastor Martin Hawley officiating.  The family will receive friends for a Time of Visitation from 4:00 PM until the time of service.
