Shannon D. Mullins

Owner

Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service was founded in 2011 by Shannon D. Mullins and his wife Sheila M. Mullins. Shannon has spent most of his adult life serving families at what is most times the most difficult days of their life. He began his career in funeral service in 1992. He was employed as a student by Shannon Funeral Service in Shelbyville, KY while attending Mid-America College of Funeral Service, Jeffersonville, IN. After graduating from mortuary college he moved on to Kerr Brothers Funeral Home in Lexington, Kentucky. At the time Kerr Brothers was the single largest location funeral home in the state of Kentucky.

While serving his apprenticeship at Kerr Brothers, Shannon also attended the University of Kentucky. Later Mullins became the embalmer for the University of Kentucky Bequeathal Program where he served while opening his full service funeral provider as co-owner of the Edgington, Mullins and Taylor Funeral Home in Winchester, KY. After selling to his business partner, Shannon relocated to Cape Coral, Florida in 2001. Shannon was the previous Funeral Director In Charge of both Fuller Funeral Home and the previous Cape Coral Memorial Funeral Home, now Fuller – Metz Cremation and Funeral Services. His dedication to assisting those experiencing the loss of a loved is what drives him every day.

Sheila Mullins was married to Shannon in 2010. Later that year she gave birth to a daughter, Savannah. Sheila is from Massachusetts originally. She serves as Bookkeeper and Advanced Planning Counselor.
